'My elderly mother passed away shortly before my daughter's wedding, and we inherited a lot of her family china, porcelain, and ceramics from all over the world and of varying ages. My cat unfortunately broke one of my mother's plates when my husband and I weren't home and we were absolutely devastated.....

.....We posted our story on a ward Facebook page to see if anybody could offer suggestions for repair. Bethany reached out and met with us to discuss options and was so sympathetic and kind as we discussed possibilities. When I mentioned my daughter's upcoming wedding, she suggested we use the broken plate to create some keepsakes as a special wedding gift from my late mother to my daughter. We were very touched by this idea and decided to commission a pendant and cufflink set.....

.....When we received the keepsakes, we were so touched by the amount of craftsmanship and work put into them. Bethany had also written down some special memories from my mother and historical information about this plate on a beautiful card to accompany the keepsakes.....

.....After the wedding, my daughter said that it was such a beautiful and new way to remember family and provided a way for my mother to participate and give one last gift which meant the world to us all.....
